Our Leadership Team

Joan Centofanti - President

Joan has over 30 years of experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. As President of Centofanti Consulting, Inc., she leads a team of consultants to provide Project Management, Regulatory, Quality, and R&D services to medical device and pharmaceutical companies. She works closely with project teams to design, develop, and commercialize new products. She also works with companies to design custom phase-based project management and new product development processes.

Joan has a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University. She started her career as a new product development biochemist and received a U.S. patent for developing novel formulations of immunoassay reagents. Since then, she has supported over 100 development programs and product launches for a wide range of medical devices, diagnostic test systems, pharmaceutical compounds, and combination products. She has held senior management positions in R&D and Program Management and currently enjoys working with cross-functional project teams to deliver high quality, innovative products that address unmet medical needs.

In her spare time, Joan enjoys working in her garden, hiking, and skiing at Lake Tahoe.

Sandro Centofanti - CFO

Sandro has over 30 years of experience in accounting, banking, and general management. As Chief Financial Officer of Centofanti Consulting, Inc., he manages the company finances, accounting operations, and insurance programs. He works with clients and employees to help the business run smoothly, allowing them to focus on project work with minimal disruption.
Sandro has a degree in Accounting from Galileo Galilei College in Florence, Italy and worked as an accountant at the Banca Nazionale del Lavoro in Florence for 9 years. After moving to the United States, he helped start F.A.R.O., USA, an Italian based company specializing in designing, manufacturing, and distributing dentistry equipment and instrumentation for dental offices and laboratories. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sandro served as General Manager of the F.A.R.O. North and South American divisions for 19 years, growing the business ten-fold during his tenure.
Sandro has been supporting the CCI business operations for nearly 10 years. He is responsible for invoicing, accounting, and payroll services, and works closely with clients and employees to make sure their business needs are met. Sandro also manages the company insurance programs enabling CCI to provide healthcare insurance for our employees and comprehensive professional liability insurance for its clients.
In his spare time, Sandro is an avid tennis player, and loves to watch professional soccer, especially his favorite team, Fiorentina, and the European leagues. He is also known for his authentic Tuscan cooking.
